Francis Ford Coppola Winery
Francis Ford Coppola Winery is the newest Wine Country endeavor for the film director which made its home in this historic site in Alexander Valley in early 2006. Previously called Rosso & Bianco, Francis Ford Coppola wines are familiar, like the widely distributed Diamond Collection, as well as the sparkling Sofia. Coppola has also introduced some new reserve wines.
Francis Ford Coppola bought the historic Chateau Souverain property in late 2005, and has made to all the Coppola wines not under the Rubicon Estate label. Pillsbury actually built this historic replica of a hop kiln in the early 1970s. It swapped hands a few times until Foster's purchased it as part of their larger takeover of Beringer. Beyond the Diamond Collection you'll also find appellation specific wines under the Director's Cut and FC Reserve labels. The facility is beautiful, with lovely gardens, movie memorabilia, and a large selection of gifts.
2009 - The Francis Ford Coppola Winery is under renovation and remodeling and is still open to the public.
