The Windsor Pumpkin Festival, also known as the Fall Harvest Festival, takes place every year on the Windsor Town Green. This is very much a family oriented affair as there are many things for young children to do. The festival offers pumpkin carving and painting, scarecrow building, giant pumpkin show, and of course the awesome Pumpkin Car Races! Yes, contestants enter pumpkins with wheels and race them down a track! Check out the video to see what I mean.

The festival takes place on the Windsor Town Green, which is surrounded by little shops and restaurants. It's really easy to pick up a picnic lunch, lay out a blanket, and sit back and enjoy the festivities. The Windsor Pumpkin Festival is good old fashioned family fun. A great way to spend a day and enjoy the fall weather.
