Cruise on in and enjoy 15 days of fun at The Sonoma County Fair. Opening Friday, July 24 and closing Sunday, August 9 with the fair “dark” or closed on Mondays. The Fair's popular thoroughbred Wine Country Horse Racing will be held for 11 days this year in conjunction with the Fair. Horse racing will take place Thursday through Sunday the first two weeks, and then Friday through Sunday the final week. The ever popular Flower Show will present the theme of "Barnyard Blossoms" featuring magnificent floral displays.
Major headlining acts this year feature Montgomery Gentry & Thompson Square, Bridgit Mendler, Snake Oil Sinners, and La Adictiva Banda San Jose de Mesillas. In addition to these concerts, there's a host of incredible free concerts to enjoy everyday of the fair. Free concerts are held daily at the Park Stage where you can enjoy great music, dancing, and lots more.
The Sonoma County Fair is a potpourri of events with something for everyone. Featured events at the Sonoma County Fair range from live music on several stages to horse racing to a full carnival with rides, games and prizes. There's a rodeo, livestock contest, a special kids area and of course the huge Hall of Flowers (the largest in the United States), which has a different theme every year. The Sonoma County Fair is also a showcase of local arts and crafts. In a nutshell, the Sonoma County Fair is good clean fun on a grand scale.
